Application - 

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis. However, applicants who enrolled in a program prior to August 1, 1997 and are applying for licensure under Rule 64B1-4.001(1) and have not taken the National Examination must contact board staff for further direction.

Examination - 

The Board currently approves as the Florida Examination for licensure the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) examination, consisting of the Foundations of Oriental Medicine Module, the Acupuncture Module and the Point Location Module.

All applicants should contact the NCCAOM directly to take the examination. Except for applicants who enrolled in a program prior to August 1, 1997 and are applying for licensure under Rule 64B1-4.001(1) must contact board staff for further direction.

NCCAOM Announces

New “Flexible Dates” Which Will Allow Candidates to Test in a Two-Week Period
Monday, June 19, 2006 will be the start date for the administration of the June 2006 NCCAOM examination modules.
Candidates will be given a two-week period beginning on June 19, 2006 to complete their examination(s) at their selected site (a list of over 200 sites is available on the NCCAOM website.
Based on availability, candidates, who are registered to take the NCCAOM examinations, can choose any date(s) between June 19 to July 1, 2006 to take their examination(s)
