The Board of Psychology is
responsible for licensing and regulating psychologists, provisional
psychologists and limited license psychologists in Florida.
Licensure Method
This method of licensure requires that the applicant possess a doctoral
degree in psychology as described in section 490.003, F.S., and has at least 20 years of experience as a
licensed psychologist in any jurisdiction or territory of the United States
within 25 years preceding the date of application. If the program from which
you graduated did not have APA accreditation at the time you graduated, or
within three years after you graduated, you must provide a letter of the
comparability of your program pursuant to rule 64B19-11.0035, F.A.C.

A Psy.D., an Ed.D. in psychology, or a Ph.D. in psychology from:
An educational institution which, at the time the applicant was enrolled and
graduated, had institutional accreditation from an agency recognized and
approved by the United States Department of Education or was recognized as a
member in good standing with the Association of Universities and Colleges of
Canada; and a psychology program within that educational institution which,
at the time the applicant was enrolled and graduated, had programmatic
accreditation from an agency recognized and approved by the United States
Department of Education.

How to Apply for Licensure
Submit a completed application, fees and all required supporting documents
to the Board office.
The application package contains additional information regarding the
application, the fees, other required documentation, and special testing
accommodations due to ADA or religious conflict issues and examination
