The Board is comprised of seven members appointed by the Governor and is comprised of five licensed respiratory therapists and two consumer members.

All correspondence and inquiries should be directed to the Board of Respiratory Care Staff at 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin # C05, Tallahassee, FL 32399-3255. Since this Board serves as a "quasi-judicial" entity on licensure issues, contact with the members may cause the members to be recused from administrative proceedings. Staff will direct inquiries, when appropriate to the full Board for review.


Staff Responsibilities

Sandra Washington, Regulatory Specialist - processes applications by endorsements, answers general application questions as well as questions regarding laws and rules. 

Barbara Baker, Regulatory Specialist II - processes all continuing education provider applications, handles agendas for RT Board and prepares minutes. Answers general application questions as well as questions regarding laws and rules. 

Cheryl Searcy, Program Operations Administrator - answers all specific questions regarding laws and rules, and is available when other staff members are out of the office, is the supervisor over RT staff. 

Allen Hall, Executive Director, responsibilities are administrative and include budget, legislation, and personnel.
