NEW! CE Broker
Information for Providers and
Licensees - Licensees may subscribe now and receive the
personal benefits of continuing education tracking through May 31, 2007.
The renewal of your license will be affected by continuing education
tracking through the CE Broker system beginning with the June 1, 2005
through May 31, 2007 licensure cycle.
RRT/CRT/TUC/TUN licenses expire May 31 of every
odd-numbered year. Licensees originally licensed within the first year
of the biennium (June 1 of each odd year to May 31 of each even year),
are required to complete all 24 hours of continuing education credits.
Licensees originally licensed within the second year of the biennium
(June 1 of each even year to May 31 of each odd year), are exempted from
continuing education credits for their first renewal period ending that
May 31 of the odd year. Beginning the following biennium, they must
begin collecting their CE for the next renewal. This exemption only
applies to people who do not already hold a respiratory license in the
State of Florida.
If you are upgrading your status, regardless of when the
license is issued, you are not exempt from the continuing education
requirements. Once your license has been upgraded, you may request to
voluntarily relinquish your Certified Respiratory Care or Respiratory Care
license. The
request must be in writing to the Board.
If the license is not renewed by May 31 of each odd year, a delinquency fee will be charged in addition to the applicable renewal fee.
If the licensee wishes to change from active status to inactive
status, or from inactive to active status at any time other than during the
renewal period, a change of status fee will be charged. The renewal cycle starts
between 90 to 120 days prior to the expiration date of a license and ends on the
expiration date.
To change from inactive status to active status will also require
payment of a reactivation fee. Before requesting reactivation contact the Board office to determine continuing education requirements. |
